G'Day! Welcome to our Australian Directory service. This directory is derived from the Australian component of the DMOZ directory. The DMOZ Directory project was the largest human edited directory on the planet. The DMOZ directory project is not currently being actively maintained however there is an active archive site. Even though the sites listed in the directory are not being updated, I still believe the archive has utility and many of the listed sites are still active on the net. I believe it is unfortunate that they stopped actively maintaining the project as I think it was an excellent world wide directory of websites.

Palmerston City Council - Palmerston is relatively new, having been established in 1981 as a satellite of Darwin. In August 2000 when our population reached 23,000 Palmerston was officially declared a city, the newest city in Australia.

Tiwi Islands Shire Council - Tiwi Island Local Government is responsible for Bathurst Island and Melville Island which are situated 80 km north of Darwin in the Arafura Sea. The total land mass is 8320 sq km and includes the Nguiu, Pirlangimpi, Milikapiti and Wurankuwu communities.

Yugul Mangi Community Government Council - Local Government authority responsible for the administration and management of some 1200 square kilometres in southeast Arnhem Land. Located at Ngukurr, the Council has direct responsibility for provision of services to some 1500 people, in the Council Wards of Ngukurr, Warliburru and Yupungalla.
