    ANZAC Bridge

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ANZAC bridge spans Johnstons Bay and is a large cable-stayed bridge on a main road leading westwards out of the city of Sydney. It is named for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

The bridge is 32.2 meters wide (105 feet) and the main span is 345 meters long (1132 feet). The reinforced concrete towers are 120 meters high (394 feet) and support the deck by two planes of stay cables.

There is a pedestrian path / bikeway that runs along the eastern side of the bridge, making possible a leisurely 30-40 minute walk from Glebe Point Road, down Bridge Road, over the Bridge and round Blackwattle Bay back to Glebe Point Road.
