This is a photograph of the Sydney Opera House. It is clearly an overcast day. The photo was taken in September 2004. The large ship is a Ferry that goes to Manly. Manly is quite famous for it's beach which is called Manly Beach. The boat on the left is a catamaran. It probably travels up the Parramatta River to Parramatta. There are quite a few fast catamarans in Sydney Harbour.
We paid approx $55 AU dollars for a 7 day ticket that allows unlimited travel on Government busses, ferries and CityRail trains in the city. We purchased our ticket from Kings Cross Train Station.
The two most enjoyable rides I had were on the Manly Ferry and on the Fast catamaran to Parramatta.
I liked the cat ride to Parramatta because I like fast boats (and the cat is quite fast) and because the scenery is quite magnificent up the Parramatta River. The day was fine and sunny and we sat on the forward observation seats at the very front of the cat.
